Awantipora: Police on Tuesday said that it has attached a double-storied residential property and land valued at approximately ₹2.50 crore belonging to Nisar Ahmad Khanaday, a known drug peddler in Awantipora.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said that action was taken under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act after an investigation revealed that the property was acquired through proceeds from illegal drug trafficking activities. Khanaday has multiple FIRs against him related to narcotics offenses, and the attached property is directly linked to his criminal activities. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to combat drug peddling and dismantle financial structures of traffickers for building a drug-free society.
