Baramulla, Jun 17 : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday said it has attached an immovable property belonging to an arrested accused in the Kanispora area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials said that the attached property belongs to Shaheen Ahmad Lone, son of late Nazir Ahmad Lone. The property comprises 7.5 marlas of land under Survey No. 1192 and is situated in Kanispora village of Baramulla district.

He said the property was attached under Section 33(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, in connection with NIA case RC-01/2020/NIA/JMU.

“The attachment was carried out following an order dated April 30, 2026, issued by the Special NIA Court, Jammu,” they said.

He said Shaheen was earlier arrested by the NIA in an alleged illegal arms case and is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, New Delhi.
