Theft case solved in Pulwama, accused arrested, stolen property recovered: Police

Pulwama, :  Police on Wednesday said that it has solved a theft case registered at Police Station Litter in Pulwama district and also recovered stolen property, leading to the arrest of the accused involved in the crime.

In a statement issued here on  Wednesday Police said that the case was registered following a complaint lodged by a resident of Bathnoor regarding the theft of various items, including a water motor, spray motor, rice cooker, pipes and bags of garlic from his poultry farm. Acting promptly, Police Station Litter registered a case and initiated investigation.

During the course of investigation, police apprehended one accused identified as Basharat Najua, a resident of Gangdar, Dewsar. Following sustained efforts by the investigating team the stolen property was recovered from the possession of the accused.

In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to safeguard public property and maintain law and order across the district. Further investigation into the case is underway.
