223 sportspersons selected for government jobs; appointment orders to be handed over by CM
Srinagar | June, 10: Minister for Youth Services & Sports, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology and Science & Technology, Satish Sharma, Wednesday congratulated the 223 outstanding sportspersons who have been selected for appointment to government services under the sports quota.
The Minister said that a total of 223 exceptional athletes have been selected for government employment under the sports quota, reflecting the administration’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding sporting excellence. This recruitment he said is seen as a landmark achievement in promoting sports and empowering youth, providing meaningful career opportunities for talented individuals beyond their athletic pursuits. The Minister expressed gratitude to Chief Minister for his support in enhancing the sports ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. A formal ceremony will be held to present appointment orders to the selected candidates, celebrating their accomplishments and the pride of their families.
