Shopian Man Reportedly Drowns in Reshnagri Nallah; SDRF Launches Search Operation

Shopian, June 11: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Thursday launched a search and rescue operation in a nallah at Reshnagri area of Shopian after a man reportedly drowned there, officials said.

A SDRF official told that the SDRF component Shopian initiated the operation immediately after receiving information about the incident.

The missing person has been identified as Imran Ahmad Doya, son of Mohd Aslam Doya, a resident of Sedew, Shopian.

Officials said the man reportedly drowned in the nallah, following which SDRF teams rushed to the spot and started an extensive search operation to trace him.

The operation was underway till the filing of this report, while further details were awaited.
