New Delhi, June 11: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and discussed several key issues concerning Jammu & Kashmir, including the early restoration of statehood, the economic situation and the pace of developmental activities in the Union Territory.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for continued support from the Government of India to accelerate economic growth and ensure holistic development across Jammu & Kashmir.
He highlighted the importance of strengthening connectivity, generating employment opportunities, expanding infrastructure and enhancing public welfare measures for the people of the region.
CM Omar Abdullah also discussed the state of the economy and reviewed various developmental initiatives aimed at improving public services and boosting growth.
The Chief Minister further congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 uninterrupted years in office and acknowledged his contribution to the country’s development and governance.
The meeting focused on issues of public importance and the future developmental roadmap for Jammu & Kashmir.
