Javed Rana meets Jammu region delegations, assures priority redress of public grievances

Samba :Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, Tuesday met several deputations from Samba, Bari Brahmana, Nagrota and other areas of Jammu region, assuring them that their genuine issues would be addressed on priority.

The delegations highlighted various developmental concerns pertaining to their respective areas and sought the Minister’s intervention for their early redress.

A delegation from Samba highlighted the problem of irregular water supply and sought necessary intervention for ensuring adequate drinking water availability.

Another deputation raised matters related to implementation of the Forest Rights Act and requested expeditious disposal of the pending cases.

A separate delegation urged the Minister to take steps for strengthening and upgrading the healthcare infrastructure to improve delivery of medical services to the people. Several other deputations also projected local developmental issues and sought redress of public grievances pertaining to their respective areas.

Interacting with the deputations, the Minister reiterated that prompt redress of public grievances remains one of the foremost priorities of the government.

Javed Rana directed the concerned officers to examine the issues projected by the deputations and take appropriate measures for their timely resolution.
