Pampore Driver Killed After Truck Overturns in Ramban

Banihal, Jun 8: A truck driver from Pampore lost his life after his vehicle met with an accident on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) at Nachlana area of Tehsil Banihal in Ramban district on Monday morning.
Officials told that a canter truck bearing registration number JK02DU-9275, which was travelling from Kashmir towards Jammu, overturned near Nachlana, resulting in the driver’s death on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Zafar, son of Mohd Kassim, a resident of Pampore.
Soon after the accident, police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the body for medico-legal formalities to SDH Banihal.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
