Srinagar: Police on Friday said that it has seized four tractors and one tipper for the unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals from the Borihalan and Sugan areas of Shopian district.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that a patrolling team seized three tractors and a tipper operating without valid royalty documents, registering FIR No. 47/2026. Police seized one tractor operating without mandatory permissions, registering FIR No. 79/2026.
In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to protect natural resources and assured people that the identities of informants would be kept strictly confidential.
