Srinagar: Police on Friday said that it has registered a case FIR No. 172/2026 in connection with a traffic obstruction and an assault on public servants at the Bus Stand Crossing.
In its statement issued here on Friday Police said that during routine traffic regulation, a police party requested the driver of a wrongly parked vehicle (JK03Q-4040) to move, as it was causing a major traffic jam. The driver physically assaulted the on-duty personnel. In its statement Police emphasized that road obstruction and assaulting public servants are serious offenses that will face strict legal action.
