Anantnag, June 6: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and the narcotics network, Anantnag Police conducted a series of raids in connection with the investigation of FIR No. 138/2026 under Sections 8/20/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bijbehara.
As part of the investigation, police teams carried out searches at the residential houses of Abdul Gani Dar son of Ali Mohammad Dar and his brother Muzaffar Ahmad Dar, both residents of Tulkhan. Simultaneously, a search was also conducted at the residence of Sajad Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat resident of Deedmaribagh, Chadoora, Budgam. The searches were conducted after obtaining search warrants from the competent court and were executed strictly in accordance with the prescribed legal procedures.
It is pertinent to mention that the case pertains to the recovery of 4.465 kilograms of Charas from a vehicle bearing registration number JK04D-2959, which was intercepted by a naka party of Police Station Bijbehara on NH-44.
Investigation into the case is progressing, and all forward and backward linkages connected with the narcotics network are being thoroughly examined. J&K Police remains committed to taking stringent action against drug peddlers and dismantling the ecosystem supporting the menace of narcotics.
