Mahore : Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mahore Shafqat Majeed Bhat Wednesday  conducted a surprise inspection of Community Health Centre (CHC) Mahore to assess the functioning of healthcare services and the availability of medical facilities for the public.

During the inspection, the SDM found all doctors, paramedical staff and other employees present on duty. He reviewed the functioning of various hospital units and noted that essential machinery, diagnostic equipment, laboratory facilities and other medical infrastructure were available and operational.

The SDM interacted with the medical staff and directed them to ensure that all diagnostic tests and investigations that can be conducted at the hospital are carried out within the hospital premises, so that patients are not put to inconvenience.

He issued strict instructions to ensure that medicines available in the hospital stock are provided to patients free of cost as per their entitlement, and that no patient is compelled to purchase medicines from private pharmacies when the same are available in the hospital. The Block Medical Officer Mahore and concerned staff were directed to maintain adequate medicine stocks and ensure timely delivery of healthcare services to the public.

Emphasising patient welfare as the top priority, the SDM directed the hospital administration to maintain high standards of service delivery, cleanliness, punctuality and public accountability.
