Operations conducted in Shopian and Pulwama against unauthorized extraction of minerals
Pulwama : Jammu and Kashmir Police intensified action against illegal mining activities in South Kashmir, seizing 15 vehicles and machines and registering six FIRs in separate operations in Shopian and Pulwama districts.
In Shopian, police teams seized six tractors and two tippers involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from Rambiara Nallah and Hermain areas without valid documents. Three FIRs have been registered and investigations are underway.
In Pulwama, police teams seized three dumpers, one tipper and three JCB machines allegedly involved in unauthorized mining operations in and around Nallah Rambi Ara. Three separate cases were registered in connection with the violations.
Police reiterated their commitment to protecting natural resources and taking strict action against individuals involved in illegal mining activities.
