Says “MLAs meet a ‘routine political consultation’

B’gam: Chief Minister’s Advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani on Tuesday said the Jammu and Kashmir government is actively pursuing Hajj pilgrims’ luggage issue and has taken up the matter with the Union Civil Aviation Ministry.
Speaking to reporters while welcoming returning Hajj pilgrims at Srinagar Airport, Wani said a portion of the luggage had already arrived with the latest flight, while efforts were continuing to facilitate the return of the remaining baggage, including permitted food items.
He said CM Omar Abdullah has personally taken up the matter with the Union Minister for Civil Aviation and is closely monitoring the issue to ensure that the concerns of pilgrims are addressed at the earliest.
“The government is committed to facilitating the smooth return of pilgrims and their belongings,” Wani said, expressing hope that the pending baggage would arrive shortly.
Responding to questions about a meeting convened by the Chief Minister, Wani described it as a “routine political consultation”.
He said the meeting was an internal party exercise involving its legislators and associates, adding that alliance partners were not required to be invited to every party-level meeting.
Rejecting reports of any differences within the ruling alliance, the CM’s Advisor said there was nothing unusual about the meeting and maintained that broader consultations among alliance partners would take place whenever necessary
