J&K High Court Bids Farewell to Chief Justice

Srinagar : In a solemn and dignified ceremony, a Full Court Reference was held in the Court Room of the Chief Justice at the Srinagar Wing of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh to honour Chief Justice, Arun Palli, on his elevation as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India.

The Full Court Reference was held in accordance with the traditions of the High Court, attended by numerous judges, former justices, and senior officials from the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh administration. The event recognized the contributions of Justice Arun Palli, who is set to be elevated to the Supreme Court of India. Senior Additional Advocate General Mohsin Qadri delivered a farewell address, commending Justice Palli’s distinguished career, integrity, and commitment to justice. The President of the Kashmir Advocates Association also praised Justice Palli for his humility and dedication to the rule of law, extending best wishes for his new role. Justice Sanjeev Kumar reflected on Justice Palli’s leadership and significant impact on the High Court’s functioning, highlighting his dedication and clarity of thought. In response, Justice Palli expressed gratitude to his colleagues, the Bar, and the court staff for their support during his tenure, emphasizing the importance of upholding the institution’s traditions and values. The proceedings were conducted by M. K. Sharma, the Registrar General, and concluded with Justice Palli receiving a ceremonial Guard of Honour, signifying the respect held for him within the judicial community.
