Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested four alleged drug peddlers in Baramulla and Handwara and also recovered contraband substances from their possession.
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that during separate naka checking operations 17 grams of charas, 487.5 grams of opium pods and Spasmo-Proxyvon Plus capsules have been sized by it. The accused were taken into custody and cases under relevant sections of the NDPS Act have been registered. Further investigations are underway to trace forward and backward links in the narcotics network.
