Srinagar : Police, along with revenue and food safety officials, conducted market inspections across Sopore to prevent overpricing, hoarding and sale of expired goods ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.
Reports said that in Achabal, Reban, Warpora and Dangiwacha markets, several violations were detected, including non-display of price lists and sale of expired items. Authorities imposed fines totaling ₹5,300 and destroyed unfit food items on the spot.
