Poonch  :Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch Tahir Mustafa Malik Monday conducted an extensive visit to the Eidgah and Sheep Sale Point at College Ground to review and inspect the arrangements being put in place for the smooth and peaceful conduct of Eid-Ul-Azha.

The ADC was accompanied by Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Executive Engineer JPDCL, Deputy District Election Officer, officials from the Municipal Committee, Floriculture Department and Veterinary Surgeons and field staff from the Sheep Husbandry Department.

After inspecting the overall arrangements at the Eidgah, the Additional Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to maintain the civic facilities properly for the convenience of the public during Eid prayers.

He instructed the Executive Engineer Jal Shakti and Executive Engineer JPDCL to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supply, emphasizing that there should be no shortage of essential services during the festive occasion.

The ADC also directed the Municipal Authorities to maintain sanitation and cleanliness at the Eidgah premises and around mosques to facilitate a hygienic environment for devotees. The Floriculture Department was instructed to make necessary beautification arrangements in and around the Eidgah.

Later, the ADC visited the designated Sheep Sale Point established at College Ground for sale of sacrificial animals. He took stock of the facilities available there and asked the Sheep Husbandry Department to ensure proper medical examination and health check-up of sacrificial animals to prevent sale of diseased animals in the market.
