Kashmiri doctor awarded prestigious Chartered Scientist status

Srinagar :Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo has been awarded with prestigious Chartered Scientist (CSci) status by theScience Council through the Royal Society of Biology, one of the highest professional recognitions for professional scientists in the United Kingdom.

The Chartered Scientist designation is a prestigious recognition awarded to professionals who exhibit exceptional scientific expertise, leadership, integrity, and a commitment to advancing science and innovation. This internationally acknowledged status signifies excellence in scientific practice and ongoing contributions to research, education, and professional development. Dr. Itoo, a physician and public health fellow from Jammu and Kashmir, is set to be officially added to the Chartered Scientist register in July 2026, as confirmed by the Royal Society of Biology. This recognition is celebrated as a significant achievement for the medical and academic community in Jammu and Kashmir, serving as an inspiration for emerging healthcare professionals striving for excellence in science, medicine, and research. Dr. Itoo has been acknowledged for his impactful contributions to medicine, scientific research, medical education, and public health, which further enhances his international profile in healthcare and science. He is a graduate in Biology from the University of Kashmir and in medicine from the University of Jammu, and he holds various international professional distinctions and affiliations with prominent global medical and scientific organizations.
