Srinagar :Aijaz Khan, Chairman of the Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) Jammu & Kashmir and President of the Food and Supplies Employees Association, has requested the Chief Minister to release government salaries in advance for the upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Adha.
In a statement issued here, Khan highlighted that since the festival falls toward the end of the month, timely access to funds is critical. He explained that an early salary disbursement would ease the financial planning of families, allowing employees to manage essential festive expenses—such as purchasing sacrificial animals, buying children’s clothing, and securing household items—with dignity and peace of mind. Khan expressed strong hope that the administration will consider the employees’ genuine needs and approve the advance release.
