Kulgam : Police on Friday said that it has attached a double-storied residential house valued at ₹51,00,000, owned by one Umar Yousuf Rather in Kulgam district.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that the property was identified as being acquired through proceeds from illegal drug trade, leading to its attachment under FIR No. 69/2021 at Police Station Yaripora. The attachment was executed in accordance with section 68-F of the NDPS Act, with oversight from the competent authority SAFEMA, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and transparency. Additionally, Kulgam Police, in collaboration with revenue officers, conducted a demolition drive in the Manzgam area. During this operation a shop owned by one Bashir Ahmad Ganie was demolished after following due legal processes. Furthermore, 3 Marlas of state land under Khasra No. 59 were retrieved from the same individual, reinforcing the ongoing efforts to combat drug-related offenses in the region.
