Jammu:Advisor to Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, Friday conducted an extensive public outreach programme at the RAABITA office, Canal Road, Jammu, under the RAABITA initiative.
Several public delegations and individuals from the Jammu division convened with the Advisor to address various pressing issues, seeking prompt resolutions. During these interactions, the Advisor provided immediate directives to relevant officers to prioritize the grievances presented. He encouraged the heads of delegations to actively follow up with their respective departments to ensure timely action on their concerns. Among the delegations, the GCC GurhaSlathia NGO raised critical issues related to area development and social welfare initiatives. The Bathindi Welfare Board’s citizen forum sought solutions for general developmental challenges in the Bathindi area. Additionally, a delegation led by the Chairman of the Citizens Cooperative Bank Limited, Jammu, brought forth urgent matters requiring intervention for resolution. Retired Migrant Employees from the Revenue Department requested immediate action to recognize their service period as on-duty and to expedite the approval of pending leave encashment benefits. A delegation from the Panthal area discussed the need for developmental support for the Kendriya Vidyalaya institution, emphasizing its importance for the local community. Furthermore, aspirants from JKPSC/JKSSB expressed their grievances regarding recruitment and examination delays, highlighting the uncertainty affecting candidates throughout Jammu and Kashmir. Nasir Aslam announced the launch of RAABITA, aimed at enhancing direct communication between the government and citizens for efficient grievance redressal. He emphasized the importance of following up on the issues raised during the outreach program to ensure timely resolutions.
