Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has arrested six alleged drug peddlers in coordinated anti-narcotics operations across Baramulla, Anantnag and Kulgam, recovering huge quantities of charas, heroin and poppy straw under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan”.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said nearly 12 kg of contraband substances, including 5 kg charas powder in Anantnag and over 4.5 kg charas powder in Kulgam, were seized during multiple naka and patrolling operations. FIRs under NDPS Act have been registered at respective police stations and investigations are underway.
