Pulwama : Police on Thursday said that it has seized five vehicles for being involved in unauthorized mineral extraction in Anantnag and Baramulla while also registering a case over illegal fertiliser storage in Pulwama.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said three tractors were seized near Bringi Nallah in Kokernag, while two more vehicles carrying illegally extracted material were intercepted in Baramulla. In Pulwama, a huge quantity of urea fertiliser was recovered from an unlicensed godown at Parigam, leading to registration of an FIR under the Essential Commodities Act.
