Baramulla 18 /May : The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), Baramulla, has expressed concern over certain unresolved issues affecting teachers in District Baramulla and has requested the Chief Education Officer, Baramulla, to address these long-pending matters within one week.
The Committee stated that despite repeated requests and representations, several important issues affecting the teaching community remain unattended, causing disappointment among teachers across the district.
The major demands raised by JKTJAC Baramulla include:
Immediate issuance of the list of TG-II teachers for adjustment against substantive posts, as teachers have been waiting for the same for the past two years.
Early disposal of pending In-Situ Promotion cases, which have remained unresolved for the past four to five months.
Resolution of the acute staff shortage in hundreds of schools across District Baramulla, which is affecting the academic atmosphere and the smooth functioning of educational institutions.
The Committee further stated that if these genuine demands are not addressed within one week, JKTJAC Baramulla will convene a press conference in Baramulla to announce its next course of action regarding the issues faced by the teaching community.
JKTJAC Baramulla urged the education authorities to take immediate and positive steps in the interest of teachers, students, and the overall education system of the district.
