Ramban : Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool Imtiaz, along with Block Medical Officer (BMO), Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Saturday inaugurated a Blood Donation Camp here at Community Health Centre (CHC) Hospital.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from healthcare workers, volunteers, social activists and local youth.
The blood donation drive was organised with the objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and ensuring the availability of adequate blood reserves for emergency situations, particularly in the accident-prone areas of the region. The organisers emphasized that timely availability of blood can save countless lives during medical emergencies and road accidents.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDM lauded the efforts of the Health Department and all volunteers for organising the humanitarian initiative. “Donating blood is one of the greatest services to humanity and helps strengthen the healthcare system in emergency situations,” the SDM said.
The BMO highlighted the necessity of maintaining a robust blood reserve to meet the growing demand for blood in emergencies and accident cases. He informed that regular blood donation camps play a crucial role in saving precious lives and ensuring uninterrupted medical support to patients in need.
The programme was attended by Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Katoch, consultant pathologist, Balal Ahmed Jr Lab Tech and other officials.
The organisers expressed gratitude to all donors and participants for their valuable contribution and support towards the successful conduct of the camp.
