Bandipora :  Member of Legislative Assembly for Bandipora Constituency, Nizamuddin Bhat, Saturday participated in two significant programmes aimed at promoting youth empowerment and strengthening the economy.

The MLA inaugurated the KCFL Football Trials at SK Stadium Bandipora, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. During his interaction with aspiring footballers, he emphasized the importance of discipline, consistency, teamwork, and perseverance in sports, highlighting that these values not only nurture talent but also contribute to character development, confidence, and responsible citizenship. He commended the Sports Council for providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their abilities and pursue excellence, noting the significant role of sports in positively engaging youth. Subsequently, the MLA served as the chief guest at a District Level Horticulture Awareness Camp organized by the Department of Horticulture Bandipora at Public Park Watpora. In his address to orchardists, farmers, and the public, he underscored the critical role of horticulture in bolstering the rural economy and creating employment opportunities for farmers and youth. He advocated for the adoption of modern techniques and scientific methods to enhance fruit production and improve the quality of horticultural products in the district. The awareness camp saw participation from various officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Horticulture Officer of Bandipora, as well as representatives from agriculture and allied departments, former PRI members, and the general public. Experts from the Horticulture Department provided insights on government welfare schemes, high-density plantation, pest management, pruning techniques, and strategies for increasing orchard productivity. Participants expressed appreciation for the initiative and hope for the continuation of such awareness programs to benefit the farming community.
