- PM Modi’s Address To Indian Diaspora In Netherlands: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large Indian diaspora gathering in The Hague, praising their role as a cultural and economic bridge between India and the Netherlands. He highlighted contributions of Indian professionals and students in technology and innovation, and noted growing cooperation in trade, investment, and sports. Modi said the Netherlands is an important partner for India in Europe and stressed the importance of diaspora engagement in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
- Strong India–Netherlands People-To-People Ties: The Prime Minister highlighted the historical and cultural links of the Surinami-Hindustani community with India, calling them an important link in preserving shared heritage. He noted the increasing presence of Indian talent in Dutch universities and industries, especially in innovation-driven sectors. Sports exchanges such as cricket and hockey were also mentioned as strengthening people-to-people relations between the two countries.
- Expanding Economic, Trade Cooperation: PM Modi underlined that the Netherlands remains one of India’s major export destinations and a key investment partner in Europe. He said bilateral cooperation is growing in technology, innovation, and finance. He also pointed to the proposed India–EU Free Trade Agreement as a major opportunity to expand economic engagement and create new growth avenues for both sides.
- India–UAE Strategic Energy,Defence Cooperation: India strengthened its strategic partnership with the UAE during Modi’s 15 May 2026 visit. Cooperation agreements between Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited and ADNOC, as well as Indian Oil Corporation and ADNOC, aim to secure energy supply chains and enhance LPG availability. Defence cooperation frameworks were also expanded to promote joint development and technology sharing.
- Technology, Maritime And AI Collaboration With UAE: Both countries agreed on new initiatives in shipbuilding, maritime infrastructure, and skill development, including projects in Gujarat. A major supercomputing partnership between CDAC India and G42 UAE will boost artificial intelligence and high-performance computing capabilities.
