Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested five drug peddlers and recovered heroin, brown sugar, and poppy straw in separate anti-narcotics operations in Anantnag and Shopian districts.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that in Anantnag 12.7 grams of heroin-like substance were seized by it from three persons travelling in a vehicle near Sangam, while another accused was held with 19 grams of brown sugar. In Shopian, one accused was arrested with around 300 grams of poppy straw-like substance.
