DC Doda reviews progress of Mission YUVA implementation

DodA :Deputy Commissioner Doda Krishan Lal Saturday chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to take comprehensive review of the implementation and progress of Mission YUVA.

At the outset, implementing department gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation, highlighting the progress achieved under the Mission related to UdhyamJagriti 4.0, Capacity Building, processing of project proposals (applications) and   disbursement of approved cases at the bank level.

While reviewing UdhyamJagriti 4.0 progress in education and technical institutions, the DC directed the heads of Colleges to encourage student registration under Mission YUVA. He instructed the colleges to appoint dedicated Nodal Officers for monitoring and expediting the UDHYAM JAGRITI and directed them to maximize participation of students

The DC also instructed the ITIs and Polytechnic Institution(s) to mobilize registration of maximum students under the scheme. Stressing the importance of grassroots outreach, he directed officers to organize awareness camps and conduct youth survey at block levels to identify and motivate potential beneficiaries.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the total number of SHG applications received, progress of loan disbursement, pendency status of cases and functioning of SBDUs and BHDs.

The SBDU processing of applications and portal functioning, besides progress of BHDs in processing of loan applications was also reviewed with key performance parameters. The DC directed ADCs and SDMs to expedite BHD processing of loan applications and improve the flow of applications in blocks showing low performance. He instructed officers to strengthen coordination with bank authorities for early disposal of cases, timely loan disbursement and removal of bottlenecks in sanctioning processes. The DC also emphasized continuous handholding support to beneficiaries even after sanction of cases to ensure sustainability of enterprises and successful implementation of Mission YUVA.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the NRLM authorities to ensure registration of maximum women Self Help Groups within the stipulated timeline. He stressed the importance of hybrid training courses, enterprise mentorship and skill development initiatives for aspiring entrepreneurs. He called upon all stakeholders to work in coordination and mission mode to achieve the objectives of employment generation and economic empowerment across District Doda.

Among those present in the meeting included ADC Bhaderwah through virtual mode, General Manager DIC, Assistant Commissioner Revenue , CPO , SDMs of Assar, Gandoh and Thathri through virtual mode, Principles of Government Degree Colleges , Bhaderwah, Kilotran, Thathri and Kastigarh, District Social Welfare Officer, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Lead District Manager, Cluster Head JK Bank, Employment Officer, Officer Incharge Polytechnic College Beoli , Superintendents of ITIs, Bhaderwah and Gandoh, District Manager NABARD, District Programme Manager NRLM, Branch Managers of JK Bank, SBDU and BHD Leads, Block Programme Managers of NRLM from various blocks, besides representatives of Agriculture and other concerned departments.
