Srinagar : The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Jammu and Kathua districts on May 16 and subsequent dates due to maintenance and related works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, power supply to Upper Barnai, Lower Muthi, Paloura, JK Colony, Chandan Vihar, MuthiMetador Stand, PHE Roop Nagar, MES Rajouri Lines, Patoli, BSF, Talab Tillo, Hazuri Bagh, Anand Vihar, Udheywala, New Udheywala and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 16 from 11 am to 2 pm.
Similarly, electricity supply to Dogra Hall, Rehari, ReshamGhar, Bus Stand, Jewel, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, Kaleeth Mohalla, Kanak Mandi, Manda, New Plot, Sarwal, parts of Karan Nagar and adjoining localities will remain suspended from 8 am to 4 pm.
Power supply to Pouni, Shiv Khori, Dadua, Bharkh, Ransoo, Talwara and nearby areas will remain affected from 8 am to 3 pm, while Bantalab, Nardani, Bhalwal, Thathar, SwarnVihar, Radio Station, CRPF, Pooja Colony, Kangan More and KotBhalwal areas will face shutdown from 7 am to 12 noon.
Likewise, electricity supply to Birpur Complex, Sainik Colony, Greater Kailash, Kaluchak, JalloChak, Apna Vihar, Chowadhi and adjoining areas will remain affected from 7 am to 2 pm. Another shutdown from 7 am to 11 am will impact Sainik Colony, Chowadhi, Birpur, Data Talab, Ratnuchak and MES Kaluchak areas.
Meanwhile, power supply to Chakroi, Pindi, Flora, BOP, Kirpind and adjoining localities will remain suspended from 8 am to 1 pm.
The Superintending Engineer, JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua, informed that power supply to Rajpura, Lala Chack, BSF-2nd and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 16 and 18 from 7 am to 12 noon. Supply to Rahya area will remain suspended on May 16 during the same hours.
Similarly, power supply to Industrial areas will remain affected on May 16, 18 and 19 from 7 am to 12 noon.
Meanwhile, Executive Engineer, Electric Division-I Parade Jammu, stated that electricity supply to Patel Bazar, Mandir Right, Link Road, DhakkiSiraja, Peer Mitha, Jain Bazar, Afgan Mohalla and adjoining localities will remain affected from May 16 to May 30 between 6 am and 1 pm, as and when required, except on May 27 and 28 in view of Eid-ul-Azha.
