Baramulla : Police on Tuesday said that it has destroyed wild bhang plants during a drive along the Chichlora–Goigam–Pinjoora stretch.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said that the operation was carried out in coordination with local village committees, with Numberdars and Chowkidars present on the spot. Police teams identified and uprooted the wild growth as part of efforts to curb narcotics at the grassroots level. In its statement Police appealed people to remain vigilant and share information about illegal cultivation or drug-related activities.
