Jammu :Six-week Disaster Management Training Course attended by 62 Police personnel of Kashmir Province culminated Saturday here at CTI HG/CD KotBhalwal.
The closing ceremony was graced by DIG Civil Defence & SDRF Jammu Anita Sharma as the Chief Guest.
Principal of the Institute (DY.SP) Dev Raj Dy SP Training Rohit Dev Singh and Deputy Commandant NDRF Jammu Uttam Singh were also present.
In her address, the DIG appreciated the dedication and active involvement of the trainees throughout the course. She emphasized the importance of disaster preparedness, timely response and coordination during emergency situations. She also encouraged the participants to utilize the knowledge and skills gained during the training for the service of society and the nation.
During the six-week training programme, participants were imparted practical and theoretical knowledge on various aspects of disaster management, including first aid, fire safety, rescue operations, emergency response, evacuation procedures and disaster preparedness measures. Mock drills and field exercises were also conducted to provide hands-on experience.
Later, the Chief Guest gave away certificates to the participants and congratulated them on completing the course successfully. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
