Anantnag : Police on Thursday said that it has attached immovable property worth ₹2.5 crore belonging to drug peddler Javid Ahmad Rather of Waghama under provisions of the NDPS Act in Anantnag district.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said that the attached property includes a double-storey house, a commercial complex with 20 shops, and 1 Kanal 6 Marlas of land. The property is linked to FIR No. 237/2021 of Police Station Bijbehara. In its statement Police said the action aims to dismantle financial infrastructure of drug trafficking networks and deter illegal narcotics trade.
