Srinagar:Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” Special National Integration Camp being organised by the NCC from May 14 to 25 at BB Cantt, Srinagar.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director Tourism, Director Floriculture, Director Archives, Archaeology & Museums, SSP Traffic, and officers from Police, SKICC, Information Department, Kashmir University, and NCC.

While reviewing the arrangements, the Divisional Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure comprehensive facilitation and seamless coordination for the visiting cadets, particularly during their transit from Jammu to Srinagar and their visits to prominent religious sites, parks, and tourist destinations across the Valley.

Emphasising the importance of efficient inter-departmental coordination, the Divisional Commissioner instructed the Floriculture Department to facilitate smooth entry of cadets into the renowned Mughal Gardens during their scheduled visits. He also directed the concerned authorities to ensure hassle-free transportation and traffic management for excursions to popular tourist destinations, including Gulmarg and Sonamarg.

Further, the Divisional Commissioner advised NCC officials to share detailed event schedules with related departments to enable timely arrangements and effective execution of the programme.

He also instructed officials from Kashmir University and the Police Department to nominate subject experts for delivering guest lectures on various themes during the camp.

The SSP Traffic was directed to ensure smooth traffic regulation and route management for the proposed “Run for Fun” event scheduled from SKICC to Nishat Garden.
