In continuation of the sustained campaign against drug abuse and narcotics trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Police in Baramulla, in close coordination with the Civil Administration, carried out a demolition drive against illegally acquired property belonging to a notorious drug peddler in the Dhobiwan area of Kunzer.

The action was conducted in the presence of the Executive Magistrate and senior officials from the Police and Civil Administration as part of the ongoing crackdown on individuals involved in the drug trade and related unlawful activities. During the drive, a commercial property comprising two shops belonging to drug peddler Bashir Ahmad Mallah S/o Ab Razaq Mallah R/o Dhobiwan was demolished in accordance with legal procedures.

The said individual has remained involved in drug peddling activities, posing a serious threat to the youth and society by promoting the menace of narcotics in the area. The action reflects the firm resolve of Baramulla Police and the District Administration to dismantle the infrastructure and financial networks supporting the illegal drug trade.

J&K Police reiterates its commitment towards making the district drug-free and urges the general public to extend cooperation by sharing information regarding drug peddling or any suspicious activities in their areas. Strict action as per law shall continue against all those found involved in narcotics trafficking or facilitating such crimes.
