Kistawar :On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Tasleem Wani has disqualified the Driving License of an individual accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The action follows detailed recommendations from the District Police, demonstrating the coordinated efforts of law enforcement and transport authorities to uphold public safety and legal compliance.
Based on the recommendations submitted by the Station House Officer in reference to FIR No. 100/2026 registered under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act, the ARTO disqualified driving license (DL No. JK17 20160031634) of Junaid Ramzan Butt, S/O Mohammad Ramzan Butt, resident of NagbatnaKuntwara. The action prevents the individual from legally operating any motor vehicle, reinforcing strict legal accountability for drug offenses.
Meanwhile, the Registration Certificate (RC) of the involved vehicle bearing Registration number JK17B7786 has been suspended in accordance with MVD ACT. This ensures that the vehicle used in connection with illegal activities is immediately rendered inactive and cannot be misused further.
