Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has sealed three more medical stores during surprise inspection in Achabal area of Anantnag district.
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that during checking, three medical shops were found operating in violation of norms as their sale-purchase records were not properly maintained and updated. Acting promptly, the joint team sealed all the three medical shops viz, Hope Chemists and Drugs, Parry Medical Store and Dar and Rather Pharmacy.
The action has been taken under relevant provisions of law to prevent the possible diversion of scheduled drugs for illicit use. In its statement Police said that further inquiry into the matter is underway and appropriate legal action will follow based on findings.
