Pulwama, May 2: In a major breakthrough against terrorist networks, Pulwama Police, in a meticulously planned joint operation with 44 RR Shadimarg and CRPF 183 Bn, successfully apprehended a terrorist associate, delivering a decisive blow to the terror ecosystem in the area.
A Police spokesperson said, During the operation at Qasbayar (CB Nath Road), one terrorist associate identified as Mohd Umar Malik S/o Abdul Majeed Malik R/o Kachipora was apprehended by the joint team.
Upon his search, incriminating material in the form of arms and explosives was recovered from his possession, including:
• 01 Star pistol
• 01 pistol magazine
• 02 live rounds
• 02 hand grenades
In this regard, a case FIR No. 75/2026 under relevant sections of Arms Act and UAPA has been registered at Police Station Rajpora and investigation has been initiated.
Pulwama Police reiterates its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and remains steadfast in its mission to neutralize terror networks. Citizens are urged to stay alert and cooperate with police by sharing any credible information.
