Srinagar, May 01: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday expressed deep shock and sorrow over the tragic death of young Mohammed Hanzala from Tikken area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister said that as the search for the minor boy stretched into the sixth day, hopes had begun to fade, but the confirmation of his death came as a devastating blow.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic death of young Mohammed Hanzala from Tikken in Pulwama. As the search for the young boy stretched into the sixth day hope was running out, but it’s still been a terrible shock when the unthinkable was confirmed,” Omar Abdullah said.
He said he joins the tens of thousands of Kashmiris in mourning the loss. “I join the tens of thousands of Kashmiris in grief at Hanzala’s death. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat and may his family find strength to bear this unimaginable loss,” he added.
