Anantnag, April 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said to have attached a vehicle which was used for transportation and concealment of narcotic drugs in Anantnag.
A Spokesperson said that Police Station Utrasoo has attached a vehicle (Alto) bearing registration number JK03K‑9820, belonging to Farooq Ah Khan S/O Mohd. Fazil Khan R/O Poshnari Checklipora Chatergul, after it was found to have been used for transportation and concealment of narcotic drugs.
The vehicle is involved in Case FIR No. 39/2026 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Utrasoo.
This action reflects the firm resolve of Anantnag Police to strike at the roots of drug trafficking by targeting not only the contraband but also the means and assets used in its illegal trade. By attaching vehicles and other property linked to narcotics, Police sends a strong message of zero tolerance against drug abuse and reiterates its commitment to safeguard the community, especially the youth, from the menace of addiction.
Anantnag Police urges citizens to extend their cooperation in this collective fight against drugs and to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police unit.
