Pulwama :Pulwama Police on Thursday conducted a Civil Defence air raid and blackout mock drill at District Police Lines to assess emergency preparedness and strengthen response mechanisms.
The exercise was carried out under the supervision of senior district officials, ensuring coordinated planning and execution among multiple agencies. Key aspects such as warning systems, evacuation procedures, response strategies, and communication networks were tested during the drill.
Police, in coordination with Civil Defence, SDRF, and allied departments, ensured smooth conduct of the exercise. Public awareness measures were also undertaken to prevent panic and ensure cooperation.
Officials said the drill aimed to enhance inter-agency coordination and ensure a swift, effective response during emergencies. The successful conduct of the exercise reflects the commitment of J&K Police and associated agencies towards disaster preparedness and public safety.
