G’bal : The Department of Mathematics at Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) has achieved significant recognition with seven of its students qualifying for the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) Examination 2026 for the position of 10+2 Lecturer. Notably, Dr. Zahid Basir Monga, an alumnus of the department, secured the first rank, while Dr. Mohammad Yousf Mir attained the fourth rank. The other successful candidates include Dr. Dilawar Junid Mir, Javeed Ahmad Rather, Kulsooma Rashid, Manan Bashir Bhat, and Shahid Ahmed, highlighting the department’s strong performance.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. A. Ravinder Nath praised the students and faculty for their accomplishments, emphasizing the university’s dedication to academic excellence and its alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to fostering an environment that encourages student creativity, quality faculty engagement, and comprehensive institutional development. Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool, along with Registrar Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir and other faculty members, also extended their congratulations to the successful candidates. Dr. Haribhau R. Bhapkar, Head of the Mathematics Department, attributed this success to the students’ hard work and the unwavering support from university leadership. He reiterated the department’s commitment to providing quality education that integrates mathematical and design thinking, aiming to cultivate individuals who are academically proficient, intellectually astute, and spiritually grounded.
