Srinagar, Apr 23: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Thursday resumed search operations in River Jhelum to trace the body of an unidentified person who had allegedly jumped from Budshah Bridge a day earlier.
A SDRF Spokesperson said that the SDRF’s Quick Response Team (QRT) Jhelum launched the operation early morning and is conducting extensive searches along the river stretch.
The person, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, had reportedly jumped into the river from Budshah Bridge on April 22, triggering a rescue operation.
He said that despite continuous efforts, the body has not been retrieved so far, and the search operation is underway.
