He noted that the region is witnessing rapid industrialisation across districts including Samba, Kathua, and Jammu, as well as parts of Kashmir.
Highlighting investment trends, he said Jammu and Kashmir attracted ₹5,824 crore in FY 2025–26, registering a sharp rise compared to pre-2021 levels. Investments stood at ₹2,153 crore in FY 2022–23, ₹3,389 crore in FY 2023–24, and ₹4,145 crore in FY 2024–25, indicating sustained growth momentum. Referring to the startup ecosystem, he said the number of startups has grown from 69 in 2020 to 1,305 in FY 2025–26, reflecting a sharp rise in entrepreneurial activity and employment generation.
