Police deploy Narcotic Dog Squad to identify & apprehend drug peddlers in Anantnag

Anantnag, April 22: Intensifying its efforts under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Police in Anantnag has deployed its Narcotic Dog Squad to identify and apprehend drug peddlers and trace hidden contraband substances.

As part of the special drive, sniffer dogs were pressed into service at checkpoints. The canine assistance is aimed at detecting concealed contraband and ensuring possible recovery.

The initiative is designed to break the supply chain of narcotics and create deterrence among peddlers. Anantnag Police has been conducting sustained awareness campaigns along with enforcement actions to realize the vision of a drug‑free society.

J&K Police reiterates its firm commitment to fight the drug menace with all available resources.
