Poonch:Member Legislative Assembly, Haveli Ajaz Ahmed Jan Tuesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting with senior functionaries of key development departments at the District Headquarters. The meeting reviewed the performance of the Rural Development Department, Public Works Department (PWD), Jal Shakti, PMGSY, PDD, Forest, Agriculture and Horticulture departments.
Assistant Commissioner Development Shakeel Ahmed Malik,, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Rakesh Sharma, Executive Engineers, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and district officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the MLA reviewed the progress achieved during the last financial year and commended all departments for their diligent work and timely completion of projects. He asked the departments to work with dedication and utmost zeal. Officers were urged to initiate early planning and tendering processes for the current financial year to ensure timely execution.
The PWD was directed to start the black-topping of Chandak Mandi Road at the earliest. The PWD and Horticulture Department were asked to conduct field visits and expedite the process of granting compensation to farmers for fruit trees lost during road construction. Instructions were issued to the respective departments to accelerate public service delivery.
