Jammu: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and Health Minister Sakeena Itoo have expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bus accident on the Ramnagar–Udhampur route, which resulted in significant loss of life.
In their separate statements, both leaders conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and emphasized the administration’s commitment to supporting those affected by the incident. Deputy CM Choudhary assured the public that the administration is mobilized to provide necessary assistance, including medical care for the injured. He affirmed solidarity with the families during this challenging time. Health Minister Itoo took immediate action by directing the Principals of Government Medical College Jammu and GMC Udhampur to ensure a coordinated medical response. She emphasized the need for emergency services to remain on high alert and implemented a “no-delay” policy for all referred patients. To guarantee optimal care for survivors, dedicated teams of trauma specialists and senior doctors have been assigned for continuous monitoring. The Health Minister mandated the stockpiling of blood, essential medicines, and life-saving equipment in all ICUs and emergency wards. She reiterated the government’s commitment to providing free medical care for the injured and stressed that no laxity in patient care would be tolerated. Both leaders concluded by wishing a swift recovery for those undergoing treatment.
