Srinagar, Apr 20: The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department has postponed the proposed shutdown of water supply from Sindh Power Canal that was scheduled for April 21 and 22, citing unavoidable circumstances and technical issues.
According to an official notice issued by the Executive Engineer, Water Works Division Srinagar, the shutdown has been deferred till further orders and fresh dates will be announced shortly.
The department expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the general public due to the postponement.
Meanwhile, the public has been advised to contact the PHE Provincial Control Room, which remains functional round-the-clock, for any emergency or clarification.
