Offices to shut in Jammu on April 30, reopen in Srinagar on May 4; ₹25,000 move allowance for staff

Srinagar: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has ordered the annual Darbar Move of its offices from Jammu to Srinagar for the summer season, with operations in Jammu set to close on April 30 and resume in Srinagar on May 4.
According to an order issued by the Registrar General, the Main Wing of the High Court, along with key offices including that of the Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, Registrar Vigilance, Director of the J&K Judicial Academy, Registrar Rules, Registrar Computer (IT), and the Central Project Coordinator (CPC) for e-Courts, will shift base as part of the biannual practice.
The offices will cease functioning in Jammu after office hours on April 30 and will reopen in Srinagar on the forenoon of May 4.
The order further stated that employees participating in the move will be entitled to a Special Move Travelling Allowance (T.A.) at a uniform rate of ₹25,000 per employee. However, the allowance will not be granted to those who fail to relocate within the stipulated timeframe.
